Wes Anderson

Being completely self taught as a photographer left me with many questions and a lifetime of growth. As I began my journey into this field I found myself aimlessly wandering around with my camera in hand. I spent a lot of time admiring the work of other artists. Wes Anderson was one of the artists I felt an immense draw to.

Anderson’s projects present a very distinct style, and evoke targeted emotions. As a young and developing photographer I found inspiration and comfort in his work.

Within my own body of work and projects I still find it a rather easy task to identify components of my work that draw inspiration. Below is a body of work that I have developed - drawing more heavy inspiration from Anderson than ever before. As a way to pay homage to one of the biggest influences in my creative pursuits, I spent time traveling to location, and learned new techniques as well. With that, I have developed a body of work that shows my vision - behind Anderson’s filter.
